Pretty P.O.V.: Halloween Nails with OPI, Dashing Diva & Rebel Nails Tuesday 23 October, 2012
Want a spook-tacular manicure for Halloween? Try one of these three Halloween-themed nail products from OPI, Dashing Diva and Rebel Nails.
Oh, Halloween: You are my favorite holiday. Mostly because I get to play dress-up. Actually, 100% because I get to play dress-up. It’s a day where you can trade in being yourself for someone (or thing) entirely different. Who doesn’t want to try on a new persona?
I can’t believe I’m admitting this: Typically, I don’t pay much attention to my nails when I’m planning out my costume. (How can that be? I don’t know…) But, this year, the tides have turned, and I’ve become obsessed with all things Halloween + nails. Naturally, I started looking into what’s out there for spooky-specific nail products, and here are my top three that are frighteningly fun.
OPI So So Skullicious
I’m going to be a Dia de los Muertos babe, so this cute set from OPI is perfectly aligned with my costume. It contains four mini polishes—Hi, Pumpkin!, A-Rose From the Dead, Morning Glory, and Candlelight—plus a sheet of sugar skull decals so that you can easily don some nail art, leaving you free to concentrate all of your detail painting on your face. (I still have to practice my paint job for the big costume reveal!) (amazon.com)
Dashing Diva Halloween Treats
Venture to a Dashing Diva salon to get your freaky manicure on with this cool trio of nail adhesives. You can dress up nails in two new DesignFX Halloween appliqués: Model Webizen, a sparkling cobweb with spider details, or Enchanted Spice, a trippy candy corn pattern. Want something simpler, yet long-lasting? Rock a midnight-black ColorFX Bete Noir gel strip manicure while you trick-or-treat. Or, do as I’d do: Wear all three at once! Rebel Nails Nail Wraps: Glittering Halloween Spooky, Glittering Halloween Ghostly and Halloween
This UK-based company churns out tons of cool nail wraps, and has a huge selection of Halloween-themed ones. Some of the designs, which range from grinning skulls to witches zooming around on broomsticks, are available in glitter or non. (rebelnails.co.uk)
