Pro Logic: What It Takes to Look Like a Victoria’s Secret Angel Wednesday 05 December, 2012
Want to look like a Victoria’s Secret Angel? Here’s a few of the beauty products used to give the Angels their signature sexy for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Did you watch a Victoria’s Secret model get her wings last night on CBS‘s televised runway show? I’ll bet you might have at least paused on the spectacle as you channel-surfed. And while their bodies are beyond enviable, their makeup and hair seem equally out of this world. These women are naturally gorgeous, but, let’s be honest: They do have a beauty team that gets them runway-ready, and this time it was makeup artist Tom Pecheux, hairstylist Orlando Pita and manicurist Yuna Park.
So what did these beauty makers spray, brush and paint onto these lovely Angels? Here’s a breakdown of the look, with Angel-approved product recommendations.
The Angels’ runway makeup featured sultry brown eyes, terracotta cheeks, and a glossy nude pout—you know, the type of beauty that is forever in-demand.
You Can Be an Angel By... Trying out VS PRO Flawless FX Translucent Finishing Powder, VS Makeup Luminous Mineral Blush Duo in Pleasure and VS Beauty Rush Glossy Tint Lip Sheen in Better than Bare.
Fun Fact: Eighty applications of mascara commenced backstage!
Radiant skin: If you’re going to bare an amazing expanse of skin, it should be accentuated with a hint of tint and sparkles (this makes the gams look awesome!).
You Can Be an Angel By... Trying out Beach Sexy Tan Enhancing Shimmer Lotion with Tint and Instant Bronze Body Spray.
Fun Fact: There were 38 spray-tan applications (which makes sense as there were 38 Angels on hand). But, in truth: That’s a lot of golden bodies per square inch (or foot?) of that backstage!
Orlando Pita is the king of volume these days, and he pumped it up by creating sexy and tousled waves—a Victoria’s Secret staple.
You Can Be an Angel By... Trying out So Sexy style Tame & Smooth Instant Detangler, So Sexy Style Hold & Finish Hairspray and So Sexy Style Clean & Go Dry Shampoo.
Fun Fact: Orlando went through 50 cans of hairspray to give his models’ hair the perfect hold.
Angels’ nails were contoured into a short, oval shape and painted in pale pink or glittering bubblegum pink.
You Can Be an Angel By... Painting your digits in one of these soon-to-be-released VS Nail Lacquers, pale Bitten or metallic Peep Show.
Fun Fact: Seven manicurists took on polishing and primping the Angels’ hands and feet!
So is the Victoria’s Secret Angels’ beauty look on you’d wear? Sound off in the comments?
