Pretty Peek: Japonesque Safari Chic Bronzer Brush Friday 27 April, 2012
Wild and woolly, all rolled into one: The Japonesque Safari Chic Bronzer Brush looks so soft and cuddly, you just want to rub your face against it. Kinda the point, right?
Makeup companies have something in common with fashion designer Roberto Cavalli: They just looooove animal prints, a particular favorite being leopard spots stamped into bronzer-highlighter combos. (Too Faced has a brilliant one, Peach Leopard Brightening & Perfecting Bronzer, that works like a charm—and is almost too pretty to use!)
And now there’s this wild, and rather imaginative, one: the Japonesque Safari Chic Bronzer Brush. The moment I laid eyes on it, I instantly wanted to snuggle up to it. (Is that weird? Perhaps…) Something about the hairs having an animal print makes the brush look more plush and soft and…well…cuddly. I want to rub it against my face, which, ultimately, is what it’s made for, right? But the hairs are actually synthetic, rather than the typical squirrel, sable, pony or goat. So, an animal print, but no animals harmed or used…sort of like a faux fur!
The dome shape picks up just the right amount of product for bronzers, luminzers and shimmer powder, and the short Kabuki handle allows you greater control over your application. I think that this particular brush design will ensure that you’ll keep your brush clean. Think about it: If you’re constantly bronzing with it minus the washing, that pretty white color will turn busted brown, disguising this cute animal print. We cannot have that, can we?
The Japonesque Safari Chic Bronzer Brush ($22) is available at ulta.com.
So: Are you ready to get wild and woolly with this brush?
