You may have noticed my lack of blogging and this is not because I’m being lazy; it’s because I am running in heels around Manhattan covering backstage like a mad woman. So, please do excuse the hiatus; I will resume regularly posting when New York Fashion Week commences. Though I did want to share with you what I’ve done already…
Day 1: Left my wallet at home; had to walk 15 blocks and two avenues to the next show and borrow money. Awful. Shows covered:
+ Erin Fetherson, Fashion Palette
Day 2: Left my phone at home; had to run back and get it because what would Fashion Week be without Instagramming? Seriously! Shows covered:
+ Kaelen, Richard Chai Love, Creatures of the Wind
Day 3: Became increasingly crabby…so much so, that my backstage friends called me out. I think I was just tired. (And still am!) Shows covered:
+ Peter Som, Behnaz Sarafpour, Jason Wu, Rebecca Minkoff, Rag & Bone
Day 4: Hit up the backstage of my favorite designer, Prabal Gurung, and sweated incessently. Then watched a girl be shot by a street fashion photographer for 20 minutes, which seemed incessently long. Like, uncomfortably long. Shows covered:
+ Marissa Webb, Prabal Gurung, Rachel Antonoff, Rebecca Taylor
Day 5: Rolled into Victoria Beckham’s backstage just in time to lay eyes on David Beckham toting their baby girl, Harper. Minutes before this wonderfulness occurred I was wiping the sleep from my eyes. Seeing him perked me right up. Shows covered:
+ Victoria Beckham, Lela Rose
Wow…16 shows already! Whew! Tomorrow is my most jam-packed day; we’ll see how I fare. In the meantime, I encourage you to follow me on Twitter at @fearnobeauty or on Instagram at @fearnobeauty, where I am updating from backstage all day and some of the night!
