Pretty Peek: Erickson Beamon Jewelry Gems for GEMS Thursday 31 October, 2013
Erickson Beamon jewelry and Beauty.com step up the feel-good glamour with Gems for GEMS.
I own one piece of Erickson Beamon jewelry: a bold multi-prismatic cocktail ring. It’s huge; it’s overstated. It’s one of my favorites. It makes me feel like a fashionable princess—or maybe an heir to a fortune of riches…yeah. That.
I’ve always wanted more Erickson Beamon pieces, but I haven’t been able to scrounge up the scratch to procure them (they don’t come cheap). But now, the jewelry line is partnering with Beauty.com for some feel-good glamour with the launch of Gems for GEMS.
The first “Gems” comes courtesy of Erickson Beamon jewelry, but let’s concentrate on the second “GEMS” for a moment. It stands for Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS), which is a New York organization designed to serve young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking. GEMS seeks to end child trafficking, while also empowering those young girls and women who have experienced it, helping them to reach their full potential.

For each Erickson Beamon jewelry hair Gem sold, 100% of the sales proceeds goes to GEMS. That, in a word, is amazing. The four pieces are made with that same Erickson Beamon flair: plenty of bejeweling and sparkle. They range in price from $60 to $130 and, remember, all proceeds go to GEMS. So not only are you buying a piece of gorgeous jewelry, but you’re also helping an important cause.

I’m pretty partial to the Tropical Punch barrettes; I love excessive flash. But I’ve never been one to turn down art deco ornamentation either. Which do you prefer?
