Catwalk Cut: The Beauty of L.A.M.B. Fall 2012 (Photo Set) Friday 24 February, 2012
Hairstylist Danilo gives the girls at Gwen Stefani’s Fall 2012 L.A.M.B. show bouffants that are half-up, half-down—but full on texture and moxie.
Gwen Stefani’s long-time mane collaborator, Danilo, once again “lock-ed” it up at the Fall 2012 L.A.M.B. show, setting to work on a ’60s halfsie bouffant, twisted and texturized to the hilt.
Danilo begins the style by setting hair in T3 Voluminous Hot Rollers to suss-out much-needed volume at the crown.
After removing the curlers and allowing the coils to cool, he mists on Oribe Hair Care Dry Texturizing Spray to beef-up body and increase texture for easier height-building.
Danilo sets up his exaggerated bouffant with his French Lacing technique: Back-combing the hair using a brush rather than a comb.
A low side part, coupled with a a mussed twist and two barrettes placed near the ears, look girlish yet modern. Danilo leaves the hair pins visible to allow a “do-it-yourself feel.”
The finished look: “Rockabilly meets Diane Arbus images,” Danilo says.
