Beauty Mark: Leonor Greyl Recreates The Artist Thursday 01 March, 2012

Admittedly, I didn’t go see The Artist. Not that I don’t find the premise intriguing, I just don’t find it intriguing enough for me to part with the amount of greenbacks a NYC movie theater commands these days. (Once it’s out on On Demand, I’m in!) So watching the Oscars this year was a little […]

Admittedly, I didn’t go see The Artist. Not that I don’t find the premise intriguing, I just don’t find it intriguing enough for me to part with the amount of greenbacks a NYC movie theater commands these days. (Once it’s out on On Demand, I’m in!) So watching the Oscars this year was a little underwhelming in that I had no clue if 4/5 of the movies deserved the accolades, and I certainly didn’t know if The Artist deserved it’s five Oscar wins (I’m sure it did, but I guess I’m still smarting over the fact that I don’t really know since I didn’t go see it). Usually, my husband and I go on a two-day Oscar-movie-viewing rampage prior to the awards show. This time, no dice.

But, luckily for me, haircare brand Leonor Greyl did their own 3-minute reprisal of The Artist, and I watched every last second of it. Even cooler: Best Actor Winner Jean Dujardin’s groomer, Louise Moon, actually used Leonor Greyl products on his very dapper dome for the 2012 Oscars. So fitting! (Louise also has a starring role in the video as The Hairstylist!)

So take a look at the video where beauty wins out, and silence is golden. Keep an eye out around the 2:13 mark for a wind-blown pup who gets caught in the cross fires of a wind machine: Trés cute!

What do you think? Does Leonor Greyl’s version of The Artist deserve a hair Oscar or what?
