I am finally rolling out a blog that speaks to the beauty I observe in the world, and I am happy to have you as a reader! As a beauty editor, I see countless products roll (sometimes literally) across my desk; I witness trends that change quicker than you can say, “Ponyta…”; I try services that seem outlandish, but really do work! But one thing I have noticed is that the more outré the trend, the less likely people are to even try it. And though the trickling down of runway beauty to the streets seems to be picking up speed, the average women still harbors a bit of fear when it comes to trying out bolder beauty trends.

I want to change this reality—to guide you through neon eyeliner, glitter-doused nail art, pastel dip-dyed haircolor. Because, truly, beauty products and trends are fairly impermanent. Makeup is easily washed off; nail polish dashed with a splash of acetone; haircolor…well, that one’s a little harder to change on a whim, but there are always extensions! The beauty of beauty is that you can test it, try it, take it out for a spin; you can turn heads, elicit “ooohs!” and boost your confidence; you can transform yourself, be another you. And you can do it often and daily, and then wash it all off (with a good skin cleanser and makeup remover, naturally). You can be fearless with your beauty, no matter your profession (that’s what weekends are for!), because you can always tone it down, change it up, make it yours. And you can do it again and again.
