Out & About Beauty: Pureology, Living Proof, Scotch Naturals & More! Friday 04 May, 2012
A snapshot of the beauty I’m seeing: Living Proof’s extension to its Restore line; some under-wraps intel from Scotch Naturals that I can’t divulge…yet; Pureology’s new 100% oil, Precious Oil and more!
Busy, busy, busy says the beauty bee (that’s me!). Here’s a collection of some of my adventures, in no particular order!
(From top left, clockwise): The Living Proof team—those wacky MIT scientists behind this frizz-busting haircare line—explain the new additions to the Restore line: Revitalizing Spray with Heat & UV Defense, Targeted Repair Cream and Recovery Regimen (I’m already a convert of this last one). Dr. David Puerta, the brains behind the company’s breakthrough PolyfluoroEster (and, who, I might add, had faded red hair—he’s been testing out haircolor formulas for a possible Living Proof haircolor line!), explains that humidity is more than a frizz curse; it causes hair to shrink and expand, which ultimately weakens hair; Scotch Naturals founder Ginny Cardenas treats me to a very hush-hush test run of a new item this natural nail polish line will be releasing soon, and this pictured Scotch Naturals Polish Remover actually, truly, very much so hydrates nails; the team at Pureology gave my fried ends some much-needed TLC with the brand’s new Precious Oil, launching this month at salons; I only like graffiti when it’s beautiful, but this struck me as well: “I am beauty” tagged on a door in Soho, right around the corner from the TIGI Academy I was visiting; I think the expression, “Hits the spot,” works here for this Louis Vuitton window, no? Those arrows are so much more beautiful in person; My hair, smoothed and sleekened with Pureology Precious Oil.
Until next time!
