I look forward to spring and fall, not because I like “changing seasons” or anything fuddy-duddy like that. No, I await them with baited breath because I enjoy forecasting the fashion and beauty trends you’ll be consuming and inspired by; I can’t get enough of pulling them together, wrapping them up in a big box of pretty words and images, and then delivering them via my big fashion and beauty trend features for several beauty industry mags, but mainly Beauty Launchpad—and one of my newest for the March 2012 issue is no exception. This time, executive editor Amy Dodds asked me to pair the fashion trends with complementary hair trends also sourced from the runways; typically, I don’t bring hair into the picture. I simply focus on the fashion for this particular story. Not surprisingly, fashion and hair trends are simpatico. From sporty threads matched with super-soaked strands, to floral prints topped with braided updos: For every fashion trend that will be sprung on us for spring, there’s a cool springtime hairstyle to match. The piece is titled “Spring Span” because, seriously, there is just so much to choose from this season!
